At Tiki Tom’s, all tabs are started with a standard credit card pre-authorization. This is a common hospitality and bar practice used to keep service smooth, organized, and consistent throughout the restaurant.

As a concept that originated as a cocktail bar, our service style allows guests to seamlessly order throughout their visit.. whether seated at the bar, dining room, or transferring between the two. The temporary authorization simply allows us to keep tabs open during service and finalize the correct total at the end of your experience.

Please note: while most transactions process without issue, some banks — especially with debit cards — may occasionally display temporary pending authorizations that can appear as additional charges or temporarily affect available balances. These authorizations are not finalized charges and will automatically fall off according to your bank’s processing timeline if they are not captured.
